Excel does not update

Hello all,

I was able to get the excel link working, but data is not updated.

Here is what happens:

If I save excel, nothing happens.

If I then relink the path, gHowl gets no data, until I close the file in Excel.

I also tried using the GH timer.

After saving the Excel file, as soon as the timer kicks in ghwol gets null data. As soon as I close the file, the data flows back in.

Is this the expected behavior? Is there a workaround?

Hello,

The spreadsheet reader component is very basic was not thought for interaction between open files, more or less it is able to read data in.  At the moment, what you want to do is not possible with the spreadsheet reader, but its probably possible with one of the many other implementations of excel readers available out there on the nets....

It seems that it would be a nice feature to have.  I will look to implement it in the future.

Is Slingshot one of the "readers available out there" that might have this capability?
