algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hi! I have a juicy problem to be solved:)
I have several point attractors, all with an individual force.
They are placed in a grid of circles, I would like the circle radius to be affected to its closest attractor, quite locally, but I think that the result I get is very clumpsy and not so tactile. How can I make the resulting cones be more differentiated depending on which point it is near? I think whats happening is that all the circles are affected somewhat by all the attractors in the same time, therefor I can't see what I need to see:o! (which is beautyful, slender cones that really show a radius affected by the nearby points.. )
Does this make sense at all?
All the best/Sophia

For multiple attractors to work on one set of circles you need to either combine the influence (mass add or mass multiply) of the individual attractors or you need to select the attreactor with the strongest influence.
There are severeal ways to do this. Generally you want to make sure you end up with only one radius per point.
One more thing: try to understand how GH works on Lists an Datatrees. There in no need to create a copy of the distance component for each point.
Hi, I think I get what you mean, but the different points have to make different impact. There are ten different "strengthlevels", so I created a copy of the distance component for each set of points with individual strengths.
Do you still think that I can use mass add in that case? I have figured out how to make each set of points affect the circles individually, but not in cooperation with each other..
I would like the strenghts to fade in and out, depending on which attraction point is the nearest.
I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough from the start. Thank you for such a quick reply!
Sincerely/Sophia
