Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey everyone!

I was wondering if there's a fast way of trimming all curves that overlap.

I just want to trim the bits in the green circles.

Would be great to get some advice and help cause this thing's massive and it's way too time consuming to trim every single bit.

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Ra

Hi everyone,

I've tried implementing the above script to trim al bunch of circles with each other. However, I keep getting stuck at joining the circles.... I tried this before with a RegionUnion (failed), but now this solidUnion is also failing? What am I doing wrong?

thanks!

Hi Anja,

Things have come a long way since I wrote that for Ra. Your issue with the RUnion Component is in the units and tolerances of your Rhino Document. Change them to meters and similarly your GH file sliders and you get the desired effect.

Ha, great Danny, I wouldn't have figured that out! Shame of your beautifully coloured definition that I just deleted though.... ;)

Wow! Feels like I've missed so much on GH! Been so occupied since middle of last year.

I'll check this out as soon as I have time (and internet).

Also, glad to see that the GH website hasn't changed much apart from the sharing post buttons.
