grasshopper problems bothers me...

there's several problems bothers me, and I already report crash email to Mcneel technician...and follow steps of what he said, but problem persists...

finally they can't slove and suggest me post on here... wish anyone can tell me

how to do... very thanks

I use rhino 4.0 sr9 , grasshopper I try 0.8.0062 0.8.0064 0.8.0065 also these problems

here is the email I wrote:

I think it maybe not the drivers problem , I already follow your link
 , download and install new display driver , it doesn' t work. 囧rz..

I also follow your suggest remove the check for using accelerated
 hardware modes , it doesn't work. 囧rz..

Even I already recovery my laptop , reinstall rhino sr9 several
 times.... the problem persists ... I have no idea how to do now.

1. grasshopper window , choose File>Recent Files , it crash.

2. drag the "gh" and "ghx" file into grasshopper window to open , it
    crash. I have to use open file that can work.

3. grasshopper weave element , can't zoom in by using mouse wheel , it
    crash.

    If choose the "variable parameters" of it , wait counting > close , it
    works!! can see and use "+"!! but done and zoom out , it crash.

4. grasshopper VB script element ,can't zoom in by using mouse wheel ,
    it crash.

    If choose the "variable parameters" of it , wait counting > close , it
    works!! can see and use "+"!! but done and zoom out , it crash.

    If choose the "edit source" of it , it crash.


 seems the new function of elements if it have to zoom to see "+" , it
 all can't work....

Hi Yugi,

do you have all Windows Updates installed on your system?
when Grasshopper and Rhino crash, do you receive the "report" screen?

hi ,

I think I have all Windows Updates, since I recovery my laptop these days, I use "windows update" check update and install a lot. these problem existence before I recovery.

no, I had not receive any report screen, it just crash, close rhino and grasshopper, and appear a screen of McNeel say rhino4.0 error, have to close, hope I can write what I've done before crash to them~

Hi Yugi.

For a better picture, can you list the Specs of your computer please.

Make, Model, Processor, amount of RAM, Graphics Card, Windows Version.

Also has this happened on previous versions of Grasshopper or is 0.8.0062 the first one you installed?

And this does't happen on previous versions of Grasshopper, I used older versions and the last I use is SR8 and 0.6.0059, doesn't happen.

problem since install rhino SR9 and change 0.8.0062, and I also try install back 0.6.0059 on SR9, it's not happened

hi,

I just try 0.8.0052, "weave" and "vb" element don't have "zoom in to see '+' " function, so can zoom in and out. BUT except that, other problems above persists.

I GUESS, all 0.8 version will happen.

Thanks Yugi,

Another thing can you post an image of the Rhino options > Appearance > OpenGL page

Its the same one where you unticked the "Use accelerated Hardware Modes

If you cannot post and image then can you post what the settings are and the Drive information

The version of OpenGL seems to me to be on the low side.

then I check the driver's release note of it....it's not compatible with my card QQ....
