algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Points are displayed differently here in V5 than V4, in V5 I get white X's on a red or green square background, in V4 they are just X's in space...  any way to change the V5 display to make it like V4's? The V5 display is far too heavy...  Thx,  --Mitch

Hi Mitch,

sometimes it switches to red squares with white crosses in V4 too I've noticed. It's a bit unpredictable.
You can always disable OpenGL Sprites in the View menu, but hopefully we'll be able to fix this once and for all in RhinoCommon.

Ah, OpenGL sprites... that fixed it... What else do they do that I might be missing? --Mitch
They do nothing else. The point (har har) of OpenGL sprites is that they draw faster (much, much faster) than the alternative. But some graphics cards just didn't support the Sprite feature, and -so much worse- they lied about not supporting it. So I tried to draw Sprites with nothing but good intentions and it crashed everything that was even looking at Rhino. Hence the option.
