Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

The problem is given bellow. I need to find the tangential points between the lines and the curve and measure the red length.

Do you think it's possible in Grasshopper?

Thank you.

hi Stefan, here you are you need Rh5 and the last version of GH.

This may be redundant.  I didn't look at Julz solution.  Works in V4 and doesn't need the latest GH release.

I'm on Rhino 4, thank you both tho, but Chris, can you please post the GH file, I'm a bit confused regarding some components.

Many thanks.

Hi Stefan , in fact i think you can probably open the gh file from rh4,after that you just have to make two curves in rhino and set eatch as input in the gh file ... If you You need the 50 degrees constraint let me know it's also easy to set up.

Sorry about that.  I thought it was straight forward.

This one includes the curve length.

pffew, well here is a possible way:
I tried to solve this with the X-tremes component on rotated base planes, but that strangely didn't work out, so I went with the boundingbox approach on rotated base planes.
