Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi David

Would it be possible to implement 3D mouse actions into Grasshopper: pan and zoom? It would significantly increase the work speed.

It has been asked for before, I implemented something so the Space Control mouse people could hook into the canvas panning and zooming, they never wrote back.

it would appear that it doesn't work because Grasshopper never gets focus. Same with the SpacePilot Pro

Also have you tried contacting Markus Bonk <markus_bonk@3dconnexion.com> who's developing all things Rhino at 3Dconnexion

David

Can I have it too? I will promise you to write back :-)

Piotr

Technically you have it already with the latest version of GH, but if its what I'm thinking of, it doesn't work as planned.

Yeah, that was it. I did speak with Markus, but it didn't lead to anything. If they have an SDK I can use I can have another go at it.

Here's the link: http://www.3dconnexion.co.uk/service/software-developer.html

You probably need a device. I'm sure McNeel Europe have some.

EDIT: if not I've got a "home user" device you can borrow

The 3Dconnexion SDK for Windows is currently being redeveloped.
We will contact you when the new version is published."

Only the Mac and the Linux SDKs are currently available for download...
