Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi I made one sample to create and simulate tower shape.

I have result anyway, but if anyone know more sophisticated manner, please let me know.

The purpose of this GHD is to simulate any polygons with randomly shifted vertices.

Also I created surface with loft after I baked polylines to Rhino, if I can create ex. 4 point surface inside of GH is helpful. But this is not big issue.

Hi -

Here is one approach that solves the questions you've highlighted. The first issue, with a variable path transformation, was solved with the "replace branches" component; the second with the "flip matrix" component, and the surfaces were added, not with a 4pt surface, but by lofting your horizontal sections with the loft options set to "straight."

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Andrew,

Thank you for your perfect solution.

I am not good at data tree handling and I was struggling almost a day. your advice is what I need.

Also I found your blog is helpful, I will read in detail later.

Thanks again!

is there any way to put variable inputs to pathmapper. thnx

No. you would have to generate a path structure with normal gh components and then use the Replace Branches component.

Here's an example that re-groups the points from an SDivide to a different configuration
