points inside a projected curve

Do you know if there is a way to project a point into a surface ? ive tried to project it using the project command but since my loft is not a plane and my point is not a curve i cannot use any of the projection options.

you can do this with intersection mathematical or physical

thank you very much ... i have correct now. 

Now the thing gets a bit tricky since im trying to fetch the points inside the circle depending on its radius from the center point. That is why i projected the point on the center of the circle to the loft above. Now im figuring out the distance between this point and the rest of them. But now i dont know how to collect the points depending on the distance.

sort the distances and use the item component to select them in the right order

Thanks ... iam trying but i am having a hard time getting it to work, since the distance should be radial ...

I need to select the points according to the radius between the center point and all of the others.
