Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello all,

I have quite a lot of text to bake but it doesn't seem to work.

Ive read a few posts which suggest methods but they dont seem to work for me, or at least in the way I would like. The following forum post includes a VB script component however in baking the orientation of my text (a fundamental part of the work) is lost.

Has anyone found a way to bake text tag 3d objects who my have also previously had a problem with this?

I attach an image of a mapping (data visualisation) exercise that I am trying to bake. I have my definition working but now cant present or export the data!

Does anyone know if there is any other way around this?

Many thanks!

Ok I found an answer - but just in case someone else is looking this is how i did it. Make sure the L input to 3D text tag is flattened, then right click and bake in the workspace not on the actual component itself.

Chris

or bake with insert button, else try solution -> bake selected option

Hi Chris, interesting work. how did you do it? did you use a csv file? thank you.
