Merging data streams, new start point for a curve!

afternoon,
I've created a definition for a parametric curve that will form the basis of a building floorplate. A series of points respond to sliders and then drawn through with an interpolated curve. However, I'd like to add a new start point to the curve that doesn't have a relationship the parametric curve. (if that makes sense!).
I tried this by flattening the point collection of the parametric curve and performing a merge with the fixed point in order to get a single data stream. However, once I try to draw a curve through these points Grasshopper doesn't allow it.
I've attached my 3dm and GHX files, so if anyone could have a quick look that would be great. Any advice on merging data streams would be appreciated.

If you put the right-most text panel away and connect Crv.V directly from Merge component, you should get your new curve. Panel outputs String, not the data type Curve component would accept. By the way, I also close the curve by setting Periodic to TRUE.
