Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am creating a Lamella structure in grasshopper to provided points for a fabrication model in Inventor.

I cannot find how to create a curve utilizing start point, end point, radius, and plane.  Is this possible??

Thank you so much!

Another helpful solution would be to find the tangent vector at a specified "point" along a curve, rather than at a point defined by the distance from start of curve.

Try this I just put it together hope it can help. Just download the .ghuser file and drop it on your GH canvas, it will instal in curve, primitive as "arc SERP." the expression I have in A is rad(a) to make it read degrees.

Thank you so much for helping!  When i try to drop the ArcSERP file into gH canvas i get this meesage...

you need the newest grasshopper, are you updated? http://www.grasshopper3d.com/page/next-build

also you can go to file, special folders, user object. and copy it into that folder.

my approach is a tad off anyway, Ill fix it later.

Hi brancoates,
since the chord from StartPt to EndPt already determins one direction of the plane the arc will be in, I thought it would be smarter to use a third point to create the plane for the arc.
The UserObject I made (in GH 08.00052) will appear in the user > curve tab. (the A output is the resulting Arc, the m shows a message if something went wrong). Can you test it for me, and maybe give me some feedback? Hope this helps.
