Image sampler - colour value

Hi,

I have points on a surface, is it possible to assign locally a value from 1 to 5 to the colours from the image sampler? I need to be the colour of the point and not the brightness (that has 3 values).

For example: box on the blue point, height 1. box on the red point, height 2.....

By example:

(if redchannel>0.7 then {if greenchannel>0.7 then White, else Red} else ..... )

The last question: the image sampler mapping seems to be planar...I'd like it to be cylindric or something than can adapt on a dome...I can do it?

Thanks...very helpful. Now I have this issue:

A matrix of point associated to colours (numbers from 0 to 5). Now each number is associated to a combination in the filter slots that gives this combination to the Weave.

I don't know how to make it select the Filter combination from point to point...locally.
i.e. in the point marked with 4 select combination number 4; in the point marked with 1 select combination number 1.
Please help me...thanks a lot.
