Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all!

I was just working in a .GH file and, because of a code mistake I did, it crashed  by filling the memory. The system offered to save the file, what I did.

Therefore, the file was saved with this component error and I can't open it because it crashes every time.

I'm trying to open the file in a text editor and disable the first elements in the file but haven't been able to find where to put a zero or disable value...

Any guide on that?

(file attached as reference)

(FYI, grasshopper version is 8.0051)

Or, a way to load the gh file without generating any geometry would also be nice...

I have no backup and the patch is quite extense... Please!

Hi Arturo,

For this you just need to:

1. open Rhino (if you have a special document, you can also open this)

2. open Grasshopper

3. before loading or open your .gh-file point with the mouse curser on the Grasshopper

canvas and click with the MMB (or RMB or take the Spacebar) in the canvas to open

the radial or legacy menu and here you choose the lock solver (it's the lock icon)

   command

4. then you drag and drop your definition into the Grasshopper canvas

Et voilà!

Then it should be opened without computing and previewing anything of the definition,

so that you can fix the error.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Martin.

Great!

Thanks a lot... there goes a few hours less to re-do.
