Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all GH'ers

I think I've found a bug in the "Length"-component.

It seems like the component calculates as length of domain and factual length.

Here is a example.

I need to know the length of a curve. The curve is made as an intersection between a doublecurved surface(import) and a 4PtSrf (planar).

When intersection result only contain 1 curve the length component seems to calcutate the length as a domain(size), otherwise with the result as two curves, the length is 2 sizes of factual sizes.

I would like the component to calculate the factual size everytime or is that a misunderstanding?

Hope you all understand my english and what I'am trying to explain :)

Hi Michael,

both seem factual sizes, the only difference is the notation.

1.3375e4 = 1.3375 * 10^4 = 13375 units

If this still seems incorrect, could you please upload the definition?

Hope this helps,

- Giulio

Hi Guilio

Rookie Faillure BIG time :)

The other notation starts after 1000.0 units BTW:)

Thanks a lot

Np, I also get confused by that sometimes.
