Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi

I’m trying to make a similar ”structure” as the picture beneath. What I would like to do is to be able to control a certain amount of circles along a curve. I would also like to be able to control the size of the circles along the curve, for example the circles might be smaller in the centre or at the end of the curve. Last but not least I would like to create something similar to the fabric that runs along the side of the circles. I have tried to divide the circles and then add lines between these points, but that didn’t work out very well.

For the lines between points you need to change the structure data path with the path mapper component.
Here some help with that:

Wow, that was a quick reply – thank you so much. I’ve just looked at it and it works absolutely perfectly, though a bit complex for me to understand :)

I really appreciate for your time helping me out with this, thanks.

Now, I just have to see if I can find a way to make a “fabric” like surface along the lines of the curve.

Hope you have a great day.
you can cull the curves that you need (use the flatten tree component before so all the curves are in the same path) and then make a loft or samething like that.
i didnt need to cull anything..:

Once again I am very grateful for your reply. I have been sitting around playing with this for a couple of hours now, without any working results. Suddenly I hear the sound of an incoming mail - and there you are with the result I have only been dreaming of. Wow, don’t know what to say! Thank you, thank you, thank you ;)

Damn you’re good at this… ;)
wow! now... what about the girl?

;D

She's mine ;)
