hi all.

any ideas on how to select curves on the x, y or z direction, having an angle of 90 degrees on the substrate component?

anyone?

Evaluate the tangent vector of each curve, and then take the dot product of that vector and the x vector. If the dot product is 1 or -1, the lines are parallel to x; if the dot product is 0, the lines are perpendicular. That should be easy enough to test, allowing you to to produce a boolean you can use to dispatch the curves.

andrew.....thanks so much!

i can not find the tangent vector component

Curve>Analysis>Evaluate Curve

thanks chris

did not know evaluate curve, evaluated a tanget vector...

i only used it to move a pt along a curve

testing.....

hey....works perfectly

thanks so much guys!!!!
