Kangaroo component fails to load

Hello all,

I just recently came across Kangaroo and was trying to explore it more. But unfortunately, grasshopper doesn’t load the Kangaroo components. I know that it is not an installation problem because it works well for some kangaroo definitions.

I work with Rhino 4 SR9 and grasshopper 080010.

I have attached print screens of both the error message and definition and the example file here.

Have you uninstalled all previous versions and installed the latest from here: http://www.food4rhino.com/project/kangaroo

Hi Danny,

It is the only version that i installed and I downloaded the gha file from the same website (food4rhino). the version i am using is: "kangaroo-physics-0-0-5.gha".

I saw something about unblocking the file from the context menu in Windows Explorer. Navigate to the folder where you saved it and try seeing whats on the right click menu.

Unfotunately that is not it.... I already unblocked the gha file before i placed it on the special folders/ components folder!

Hi Omid,

That definition looks like like it was created with a much earlier version of Kangaroo. When the interface was redone it broke backwards compatibility, so these old versions will not open.

If you describe the things you are looking for examples of then maybe me or someone else here can help provide you with an up to date example.

that explains so much...

I am just starting to learn Kangaroo and that definition is one of the example files I found here.
