algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello
I would like that they could help me in a simple problem. To the moment to subdivide the flat surface, there is generated a different orthogonal surface, which overlaps the previous one.

Can you post your definition?

The surface on the one that I apply surbsrf is not a cut away surface

You are working on a trimmed surface and the subsrf component is working on the untrimmed surface.

Here is an example of subsrf of both a shape created from edge surface and planar surface.

In your definition you use a cap brep component which will create planar surfaces for the caps and if one of these is your chosen face to subdivide then you will have to come up with another way. Maybe you could extract the edges of the face and use the edge surface component.

thank you me your response was of great help
