algorithmic modeling for Rhino
I get this message when I load grasshopper and all the commands are missing in the grasshopper menu.
This is the error message:
Grasshopper Loading Error
An error occured during Assembly Parsing.
Plugin may not function as expected.
mscorlib: Could not load type 'Rhino.Geometry.MeshParameters' from assembly 'RhinoCommon, Version=5.1.2011.531, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=552281e97c755530'.
I noticed someone else had a similar problem a month ago, but a solution was not listed.
I have tried updating everything. I updated to: Rhino 4.0 SR9, Rhino Version 5.0 (5.1.2011.531, 5/31/2011) and Grasshopper 0.8.0010.
I downloaded and installed the grasshopper version today with the file name (grasshopper_wip_20110421.exe), but it does say 0.8.003 at the bottom right of the grasshopper window for some reason.
I am running Rhino 5.0 64bit on Win7
Oh also, everything works fine in Rhino 4.0. It loads without error.
Your help is much appreciated.
Chris

Thanks for the reply, but as I stated I have tried to get the latest of everything already. Any idea why grasshopper would not be installing correctly. When I start the installation it says Grasshopper 0.8 Revision 10, but in grasshopper it says 0.8.003. I don't know if that has something to do with it. There aren't really any options when installing so I don't know what I could be doing wrong.
I did just notice that in Rhino 4.0 that is running fine the grasshopper is the correct version. It is Grasshopper 0.8.0010.
Another clarification. I just noticed that all the file dates in the Rhino 4.0 Grasshopper folders show the dates of the day I installed Grasshopper and also 4/21/2011 the date of the release.
All the files in the Rhino 5.0 grasshopper folder show the date of 11/24/2010 and 12/5/2010 which are the dates that I last used Rhino and Grasshopper. Any ideas on why the installation is only updating my 4.0 files?
Sorry I keep editing this post.
Chris
Hi Chris,
clearly Rhino5 is loading an old version you have stashed away somewhere. You probably manually copied the Grasshopper install folder and now when you install a new version, Rhino5 remains unaware of this. You can find out where Rhino5 is loading Grasshopper from via the PluginManager editor.

Thank you both. I guess its been so long I did not remember to copy the folder over. Now everything is working great. Thanks.
