I want to create a UV set from 2 lists that I already have (one for the U and one for the V obviously).

I want to find certain points on a surface, based on coordinates I have in the form of two lists (x,y)

 

I am not sure how this is happening, i Thought of using UV to find the points, is that possible? Suggestions? 

Maybe something like this.

Very nice! I didn't knew that i could compine my two lists with "xyz-point" Now i am having another problem. I want those point on a curved surface (3 dimensional), but it seems that the z since it is always zero doesn't communicate very well with the evaluate and I am taking something like "32e+1" and the points are nowhere near the surface. Help!!! :D

Can you post your definition and surface?

I just made a simple curve through point and the extrude, I want to be able to apply this on different surfaces. This is my Basic composition so far.

Thanks mate! This seems to work!

 

One problem though. In order to get the correct proportions I have to change the "target domain" on the "ReMap" on the first to smthing like 0-5000 and to the other 0-0.1 

 

Can u explain a bit what the UV is able to take as input cause some of my points are going over my surface? (only numbers from 0-1 like you had?) Do you think the problem is the great difference between the max and min of the two lists? (check my previews post check them)

 

Anyhow I am realy glad that now it seems to work :D

You need to post your definition (not just a screen shot) for me to continue on this.  Otherwise it's just too abstract.  I'm thinking that you're not getting all of the parameterizations set up across the same domain (if that's even the correct way to say it).

What I am saying is why when I have the same "step" in each series I am not getting a square-like on my surface. It seems like the "U" is having different counting from the "V". Like U=10xV (or vise versa)

This is what I think you're looking for.  Compare it with your original to see the changes.  Let me know if it's still not right.
