Hi [ U To ],

I have a Rhino file with several buildings modelled and just one mesh I'd like to analyze. I'm also trying to use galpagos to minimize the radition on this specific mesh. Whenever the calculations run, they run through the mesh and the other buildings as well, which makes it a bit slower. Is there a way to calculate the radiation just on this mesh but keep the buildings so they affect the final result?

Hi,

sure it is. You have to use two exportmeshcomponents (or just one). after exporting the first deselect it and export the second and set the component to only change selected.

Hey, Really cool stuff!

I encountered a little problem while using geco today. It was not giving me the same result as ecotect (calculations done under same parameters).

So I was working with a dish shaped object. When I point surf normal outward, geco worked "fine". However, when I have the normal pointing in,(towards the center of the dish, which is what I needed) the result was a little wired and does not look like ecotect's result at all.

Hi Liu

just checked your file.

What you have done is to set a different precission in GEco( sky-subdivision 35) than in Ecotect so this is causing the difference. Take a look on this image with setting 15.

Hi [uto] and everybody else,

I don't really understand de example file called "Geco_DaylightStudies_MeasuringGrid_GH08"

When I start ecotect conection, it starts to calculate several grids going up and I don't know what the results means.

Could anybody help me!?

is it possible to calculate a series of objects once separately by using Geco plugin, like solar panels with different angles?

Hi all,

After installing GH 8.0050, I notice that the weather file component does not react when double clicking. Does anybody facing the same issue? (is it a bug or only my PC?)
