Brep Components of a Closed Polyline = Faces?

Has anybody ever seen this happen before?  I feed a closed polyline into a Brep Components and it gives me Faces along with of course Edges and Vertices.  I am not sure if this is a bug or not, but in my mind if I don't have any surfaces, when I ask for components I should not get surfaces.  But my mind could be way wrong.  Not complaining about getting faces (they ended up shortening what I was going to do), just thought it was interesting and it was recommended that I post it.

Hi Geoff,

this is not a bug, when you feed closed, planar curves into a Surface or Brep parameter, it will automatically convert them into planar trimmed surfaces.

Did you expect something else when you plugged polylines into a Brep parameter?

ps. I moved this discussion to the main forum, as it's not a bug.

David-

Thanks for the quick reply.  No I accidentally plugged it in, I meant to plug it into something else (what I cannot remember now), but was kind of surprised.  However, it makes sense, and I figured it was not a bug as you guys are generally very thorough.

Thanks a lot for your help and keep up the good work.

-Geoff
