i have two definitions: on one side a definition that shows displacing a mesh with an image in GH, and on the other side the creation of a rectangle components.

so my question to you is, how can i bring them together?
would be nice to get any kind of suggestions.

thank you.

Hi RWNB, is it an option to use a SrfGrid instead of a Mesh (sorry I'm not much of a mesher), and then MapSrf?

dear pieter,

i want to know how to manipulate objects with a bitmap.

if you can do this with a srfGrid, why not. i want to see it. (:

Here's what I did to it ;)

dear pieter,

thank you, an interesting approach. the curves are now on ..

but the faces are gone! would look forward to a release. (:

Maybe you can just create the curves, map these to the surface, and then create the 4Ptsurfaces. They won't be planar though, if that's what you're after...

merci beaucoup!

dear systemik,

i have tried to build your example, but with little success.
what have you typed in the expression editor of the input parameters U and V?

Ahah !

Hint:

Also, you connected P to image sampler instead of UV. That can work if your image has same dimensions as the surface though. Or if you redefine the domains in the imagesampler component.

Oh, allez. (:
