algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey all,

2D slider - popped up in my head recently:

Anybody thinks it would be useful?
David, what do you think?

Two sliders will do the job...

I like a new slider with min and max as inputs...
Well, two sliders are sometimes not enough though.

Take the ExtractIsocurve command for instance. What I like about it is that you can hover over the surface with the cursor and get a dynamic preview of the isocurves at the current position.
It would be nice to have this kind of functionality in GH.

I'am aware that "nice" is sometimes not enough though.
:)
As for the min/max input, I'd like that too...
For now I'm using one additional component:

It does the job, but it's useless in the remote panel.
Would it be okay if it outputted a point instead of 2 separate values?

In fact, if we approach this like the Colour picker, it can even be a three-dimensional slider.
Even better!
With a point as the output we could plug it directly in the uv inputs of some of the components.

3D slider?

Even cooler!
:)

this is fun!
Yes it is fun, thanks!
I knew someone would do this :) Too bad the colour picker only has 255 possible values.
wow!!! Super cool!
While I agree that 2D and 3D sliders in GH are a great idea...there are ways to do a 2D slider, even all sorts of custom interfaces through other hoops if needed (as we've already seen with the colour picker method):
