is there a trim component?
or what components do you use instead to trim a line at a curve?

I have the same problem... also I can't find a comand like "extend curve to curve".
Could someone help?.
Thanks a lot
Trimming is actually 2 operations...splitting the curve into 2 parts and figuring out which part to discard. GH has several components to find the intersection, and you can then use either the Shatter component or the SubCurve component depending on how your data is structured.
i tried both subcurve and shatter on lines that were intersected with a curve.
now i cant figure out how to delete one part of the line

Which part do you want to delete? You're going to have to come up with a set of water-tight decisions that determine which segments to keep and which to discard.

i want to trim away all the parts on one side of the trim curve.
which component(s) could be used to determine this?
In 3D, curves have no "sides". So either you need to extend your definition to include a 2D plane in which the whole transaction takes place, or you need to come up with a way to define a local plane for each intersection.

Btw. there is a SubCurve component which does trim curves based on intervals. I think this one will do what you want right away. You just have to make sure your trimming intervals (instead of splitting parameters) are set up correctly.

I was comfortably holding the record for maximum number of posts in this group until you obliterated it with more than 30 posts in less than 2 days. I wonder what has changed... is a new release right round the corner?

I still hold the record for maximum number of useless posts.
I wish.... Just doing a lot of small things which leaves more gaps to check the forum. (I'd forgotten how much fun tech-support is!). The turnover rate here is pretty good, so unless I check often, questions are often answered for me.

thanks,
i will search for the interval-based trim in subcrv.
meanwhile i found a very simple solution for my needs (without trimming).
but i will surely need a stable trim workflow often in the future.

ı want to trim two 3d arc at intersection point by delating the shorter parts  how can ı do that

ı want to trim two intersecting 3d arc at intersection point by delating the shorter sides of each how can I do that?
