Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Pachyderm incorporates a Materials designer which uses a transfer matrix system to calculate the absorption of a given finish material assembly. Feel free to ask questions about this here.

Hi

I just started going through the tutorial.

May I know is there any ways to create new materials? such as metal, plastic, etc.

And is it possible to check if the material is proper assigned. When the layers become more it is kind of confusing if the material is assigned.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I want to do a parametric study using Pachyderm for the acoustic part. So, I wonder if there is any way to define materials in grasshopper for Patchyderm so, I can iterate different options.

There is a way - in grasshopper, there is a component called Layer Material Properties. If you have it, you should be able to change layer materials. It only works by specifying absorption coefficients, not the way the materials designer works.

If you were hoping for the materials designer in grasshopper, sorry about that. I struggled to figure out how it should be realized in grasshopper, though. Any ideas?
