Vector Scalar Multiplication?

The Multiplication component in the maths tab will do the same thing. It now handles a lot more data types than just numbers.

Vector-Amplitude

Vector amplitude sets the vector length to a specific value, the good ol' fashioned multiply component will scale the vector length with the supplied scalar value. Vector Amplitude is the same as a Unitize + Multiply.

What's the reason for making the Vector the same amplitude as its current length?
