Installing Geometry Gym Plugins

Hi Jon

I emailed you regarding my license not working yesterday - dont know if you received it?

I followed your instructions to install the license but i got an error message when i located the xml file. I have also tried manually copying the file into the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GeometryGym folder but this doesnt seem to work either. Any ideas what to do?

Hi Natalie,

Sorry, replying slipped through yesterday's tasks. If you don't have permissions to save the license file to the location, there's not much we can do (the IT support must have set strict settings as I have deliberately located the license file in a folder that should be accessible by all users).

Do you have your own computer you can run it on? It will work with evaluation Rhino if you have not exhausted your 25 saves. And there is presently a 3 month unlimited save evaluation for v5 (although I don't know that you can run v4 when it expires).

Hi John,

I'm having problems with curve network fillet tool in both Rhino and grasshopper. I ran the license update and after following all of your steps I got a prompt that said the license update was successful. I've posted a picture below that shows the error message that pops up when I try to use the tool. I also posted a picture that shows what files are located in the geometry gym plugin folder located in the Rhino plugin folder. Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Steven,

You have the correct files installed, the error message suggests an incompatible version of Grasshopper, you need the absolute latest, http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/grasshopper-080007-available

If it is impossible to update, I can try and direct you to an older installer but it won't have newer features and can not be improved on.

Hi Sifiss,

I work full time on the development of the plugins, so I rely on licensing the tools for commercial use to sustain this. I do provide the plugins free to students for academic use.

Email me with your situation and I will explain further licensing options if needed.

Hello,Jon

I am a student from Taiwan. I have downloaded StructDrawRhino. Installation is no problem, but if I try to use the polygon packing it kept asking me a trial license.

In window7 * 64, C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Rhinoceros 4.0 \ Plug-ins \ SSI,
I can not find run command sdrZZLicenseRequest and send e-mail, it still does not work.
Help! Please ~
