OptiCrosSec only picks ony type of profile

Hello,

Is there a way to let the OptiCrosSec component picks more than just one type of profile type? I connected more than just one family group to the OptiCrosSec componenten and it tells me to connect the family groups in order from most preferd to least preferd, but it keeps picking one type of family profiles than rather check if other profiles from other family groups are better to choose. Is there a way to change this? So karamba will compile this automaticly?

That is possible, i have a test file where i did it, the other one is way bigger, but the test file will suit as well.LinesTest2.0.gh

Hi Giogio,

the cross section optimisation only selects cross sections from the same family that was applied. For example the windverband cross sections are initially defined as W-metric sections so it will only select from this family. You can use the Modify Cross Sections component to change the family names of the cross sections.

Thanks you for the reply, now i know it has te be picked upfront what family it needs to optimize those profiles. I thought maybe it can optimize between different family's. Thanks for the info!
