algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is there a way to define Beam-Joints for the same ElemId using different Beam-Joints functions?

For Example:

Area 1 of my definition will determine ElemID = 6B1 Starting Node releases.

Area 5 of my definition will determine ElemID = 6B1 End Node releases.

Combine both Beam-Joints functions into the Assemble function so that both Starting Node and End Node releases are properly defined.

As it currently exists, when I add the releases from Area 5 to my Assemble function, the releases from Area 1 get overwritten and I lose my Starting Node releases. Unfortunately, it is impossible to combine these into one step.

Thank you.

Hello Maurice,

at the moment the 'Beam-Joints'-component works like you describe.

Elements may have multiple ids. One possible way of adressing an element is via its index, another possibility is to use beam-sets which can be defined via the 'Make Element-Set'-component. Maybe it is possible to solve the above problem by attaching multiple ids to the elements '6B1' above.

Best,

Clemens
