XL Live specific cell restriction

Our goal is to be able to updates the data in GH through macros in excel. For example, we write a macro that Changes a cell to "True" and then back to "False". When it changes to "True", what we wish to occur is that the XL link code senses and recognizes the change in that specific cell, and does what it is supposed to do, and then when the macro Changes the cell back to "False" it stops. 

Essentially we are trying to make a GH button in Excel and control it from Excel.
