Creating line thickness in grasshopper: roads, walls, etc. - help please!

Hi! I am trying to take a number of intersecting curves, generating in rhino, and create outlines of the shape that would be created if those lines had a thickness. See first jpeg, that should explain it.

This seems to have a number of applications, ie you can draw many single lines that represent walls, roads, or paths and give them widths without offsetting and trimming a hundred times in rhino/acad.

My initial method was to offset the curve in two directions, loft them, and somehow join/boolean those surfaces so I can take only the outline (brep edge).

I can't find a way to join the surfaces (coplanar, overlapping faces) so it becomes one single surface, any ideas? Or maybe there is a better way to do this? Thanks!

Join, Region union the curves, perfect! thanks a lot.

Please upload the CentterlineWalls.gh again, I get a error message when opening.

What kind of error message?

Thank you for the solution Chris.

Brilliant yet simple, as always!

You can use less commands!

How to make it work with Roundabouts and add corner radiuses like roads?

Cheers

Btw is there any possibility to customise line thikness (stroke) for layer/object ?

It is possible to draw lines and curves using custom thickness (thickness measured in screen pixels, not document units) but Grasshopper does not use this anywhere yet.

That would be nice to see in GH...

+1 for this. Please?

More control of line geometry is a very welcome feature. Could this be a way to create custom "drawing styles" with GH!? If so, it's even more interesting.
