I see in reV4 that you abandon 'RuleSrf' using the two spirals in favor of lofting lines, so I compared the two and agree. The image below shows baked 'RuleSrf' on top and 'Loft' of lines on the bottom. Much cleaner isocurves from 'Loft', so I changed my version too:
Sticking with 'Extr' instead of 'Offset' surface though; small but important construction detail.
Is there any part of this project that you are able to write yourself or are you just the art director?
I noticed the flaw in my first version due to 'Crv CP' - it only showed up when the spiral width was ~7 or greater, which is more than the vertical distance between "threads". So I used a different method for plotting the offset points. I also changed the way the 'RuleSrf' is thickened, using 'Ext (Extrude)' instead of 'Loft', because loft failed.
