Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am connecting multiple points along two curves which are an offset of eachother. I am connecting them by a line component however instead of getting one line between the two points for each connection I have 4 - 8 lines. I am curious if the there is a way to edit or remove the duplicate data so when I go to pipe them my file isnt overloaded with duplicate pipes.

Thanks.

Can you upload the .ghx file?
as you can see the selected points create a line however when baked, there are up to 8 lines. I wish to remove this duplicate data.I suppose using another component besides the line would work. Any suggestions.

Rather than removing the duplicate lines (which is easy if you have Kangaroo), it might be best to ask why are they created in the first place.

This will be as a result of your data structures. Is there any chance you could show more of the source of the dashed lines.

Yes, this is a good point - the remove duplicate components in Kangaroo were originally intended mainly for cleaning up messy rhino geometry.

While they can be used to get rid of duplicate objects created within grasshopper, it is much cleaner if you can structure your definition so as to avoid creating duplicates in the first place.

Guys, Thank you for your comments and questions.

Danny, I figured out where the duplicate data was coming from. Much appreciated. Surprisingly that never crossed my mind, to isolate the problem within the existing script. Sometimes common sense isnt so common. So thank you.

Cheers
