Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello, I´m new in Grasshopper.

My definition creates a loft between two circles curves and I was trying to project some random points on it, first in rhino, but if there was a parametric way to do this it would work too. My problem is that I can´t project any point on the surface and can´t understand why.

Hi.

"Project Point" component needs proper vector input. It's default setting is {0.0,0.0,-1.0}, i.e. -Z vector.

Take a look at the attachment. Best.

Thank You very much, however the points there are projected on the bottom of the loft, is there a way to project them on the loft like on the attachment?

Just use populate geometry component if all you need is random points on a surface.

Check this as well and,

If you are not sure how to apply a vector, it would be better to study from the basics.

There are many useful tutorials about how to deal with basic math in GH like "this".
