Select Indexes Based Off Permutations of a Separate List

Hi Grasshoppers,

First post, please excuse my ignorance.

THE PROBLEM: I have 6 small hexagons And I want to chose one vertex from each to create a closed poly-line.  I want the vertex point to be based off a separate list of possible permutations.

I have a random permutation generator based off one of David's definitions.

It outputs a list with 6 branches and 6 data items in each branch.  I want to use this list to select the points from the small hexagons.  See image below, I highlighted/drew my desired outcome.

END GOAL:  I want to list every permutation based on a factorial of 6 (720 variations) and create a poly-line for each shape.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Here's a possible solution using a Python module from Anders Holden Deleuran that calculates permutations and combinations.

This is perfect!  Many thanks for the quick reply, Ethan.

Anders, you may not realize how many headaches you saved... I am grateful
