Hello Matt,

If this is actually an origami (can be created from a planar mesh) you could try kangaroo plugin which has an origami component.

I replicated the form (kind of cheating...) geometrically:

would you mind helping me ??...at first i used this algorithm but dont get  this pattern. why??? second is it origami component the continue this algorithm that isnt in picture???
