Unkown Component

New to grasshopper and have come across an unknown component when working through an example script that I'm trying to replicate.

Can anyone help me out and shine a light on what this is, and what it is doing?

To add to what Mahdiyar said, the number on the slider is the parameter along the curve. So, in the context of the definition you're using, it's finding the midpoint of all of the edges of a given brep.

To add one more point in addition to what has already been said, right-clicking on the component and selecting the "Help..." option will tell you what an unknown component is, as well as its function.
