Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello everyone,

I'm new in grasshopper and this is my first post.

I'm trying to isolate the faces of my brep randomly in order to assign them different patterns. i thought it would work with a list item but it doesn't.

Any suggestion?

I'm not sure what you mean by "patterns" but here's a possibility using Jitter and colors. Also, if you want to use List Item, you need to flatten the output from Isotrim.

Just realized I left out an input to the gradient.

hi Ethan,

thanks for your answer and sorry if i wasn't clear in my explanation.

I found useful to flatten my brep's faces and i tried to solve the problem with a 'random reduce list node which actually works quite well for my goal but leaves me unable to control the faces excluded.

Do you have any idea of how i can keep control eighter on the reduced list or the faces excluded from the reduced list?

thanks
