algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi Hi :)

How to create a custom pattern for penalizing a surface such as lunch box components??create a custom pattern for penalizing a surface such as lunch box components??

In another meaning how to create a panel component same as lunch box components??

Not using box Morph and other stuff ...

I want to have a control over U and V numbers.

Sincerely,

Ewss

Indeed, if a surface is acting up, it should definitely be severely penalized.

A little bit more info about what sort of panelization you're after would be helpful... You can just extract UV coordinates from any surface and make grids from those?

Thanks Tom

for example I draw a pattern like the picture bellow and i want to apply this pattern on any surface.

Clearly I want to create my own component like diamond or hexagonal cell in lunch box.

this example:

apply right pattern on left surface but not just drape to it but also have a control over it,

um... how right pattern is going to component with UV input same as other component patterns in plugins, OR, any other Idea ....

Attachments:

1. the lunchbox components are like "clusters", which is like a group of components.. search for a cluster tutorial.

2. search for a grid on surface tutorial or something like that works with your grid/pattern and create a cluster from that...

3. then you can create a "user object" (File -> Create User Object) so you can save that cluster to your components menu.
