Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I'm trying to create a stack of proportionally progressive spheres with sliders defining the amount of spheres and sliders defining the radius of the first and last sphere. Spheres should be in contact with each other.

Should be rather simple but everything I'm trying gets over complicated and without the wanted result.

Any ideas? Thanks! Frank

You'll need to:

  1. Generate the balls (or at least the radii).
  2. Calculate the Mass Addition of the radii.
  3. Use the Partial Result output to generate an offset list for each ball.

Something like this?

Hi

I'm wondering why the range is set with x-1 expression, could someone explain?

Thanks

“x” is  the number of balls,so we need "x" data to deal with the balls.the data is from 0,so the last data will be x-1.

Many thanks !
Very kind to explain i couldn't do it on my own.
Took me 5 min to get it...
