algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Hello world !
I discovered today the doodle bug plugin and it looks awesome but i really don't understand how to use it...
I just want to make a "make2d" of a brep (like the rhino command) in grasshopper and get the lines directly in illustrator (is it possible ?).
Also is there a way to make a "make2d" in grasshopper or is there an available plugin that does it ?
Can we create shadows in grasshopper and is it possible to bake them ?
Thanks in advance for your help.

I understand I maybe need the horster tools for the camera control for the shadows but I can't downloaded right now, food4rhino is under maintenance or something...
Also can someone explain how you get direct data stream data form rhino gh to illustrator with doodle bug please ?
Hey what's up Nenov. I can tell from this brief video that you are looking at Rhino on the right connected up with a very simple Human UI control panel in the middle feeding into Illustrator on the left. Grasshopper must be running under the hood off screen. I assume that is intended to be an engine for demo purposes. At the moment I just reached out on the Doodlebug page to resolve a bug causes issues in the Open Illustrator component in Doodlebug that should open up the connection between Rhino / Illustrator allowing for all the tools available to be leveraged. Hope that helps a bit!
Hi Nenov - I don't have this original definition but the attached does something similar. You can see that it's mostly a "trick" - I am actually manually calculating the "make 2d" by rotating the raw geometry into a view parallel to the XY plane before sending it, and sorting the faces by their Z position (relative to that view plane) in order to create the effect of occlusion (illustrator actually has the backfaces even though you can't see them)
Hope this helps a bit.
Nice!!
Welcome to
