Deform Surface by Using curve as attractor

I think you have to make the curve fit the surface.
Planar curve can not find a good way to influence a round surface.

Hi.

Your hemisphere is a "Trimmed Surface".(I don't know how you made it, trim or split whatever...)

You' are better off using "Untrimmed Surface" otherwise "Trimmed Surface" would produce bunch of "Null" point values.

The next best way is using "Clean Tree" after divide surface component.
