algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey everyone,

I'm discovering IntraLattice and I would like to be able to build my lattice inside and/or between structures imported from STL files (i.e. my initial structures are meshes).

IntraLattice asks for "Surfaces" except in the case of the "Uniform DS" frame for which I can directly set my mesh structure as a parameter. So I am trying to figure out ways to convert my meshes into suitable surfaces for IntraLattice and I was wondering if the GH community had already managed this :)

In the case of an open surface (like the kind of circular mesh in the picture below), I simply "Patch" it in Rhino and play around with the rectangular patch I obtained. This gave me satisfying results.

However, I am not able to work that way if my surface is closed (like a cylinder but with an irregular surface, an example is given in the second image). Does anybody know if it is possible to convert a "wavy cylindrical mesh" into a "wavy cylindrical surface" in GH? I would rather not use the "Uniform DS" frame for my lattices in this type of exercise because I want the lattice to conform perfectly to my surrounding surface.

Any hints, advice or workflow are warmly welcome!

Cheers!
