algorithmic modeling for Rhino
Does anyone know how to create an undulating surface from the 'texture' of an image? I'm aiming to capture the height variations from the waves in the attached image and create a surface from that.
In gh I moved the points derived from the image and interpolated a curve in both directions, but can't seem to create a surface from that. Any help is much appreciated!

Awesome, only problem is it's not quite working and I'm not sure why. Any ideas...
Reset your graphmapper's X&Y domain fr 0 to 1.
Do you know how to map/project the sine wave surface I have to the rectangle surface where hexagons are currently mapped?... so the hexagons fall on the wave within the vertical rectangle
Got a suggestion on how to create one closed curve from all the hexagons on that rippled surface? I can't seem to join them...
So the expression [U + 1] that's plugged into the [surf from pnts] is shifting the new curve from its original place. How could I change it so its in the exact same place?
It has nothing to do with "U+1"
Do you really understand the 'morph" thing?
Morph(surface morph or whatever..) basically deforms original geometry.
So, what make you think both patterns should be placed always the same positions?
Why don't you just project your hexagonal lines onto the sine wavy surface?
