algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello all :)

I'm trying to find a way for tracking people from video shooting. The videos were taken from bird-eye-view. I need to convert trajectories to lines or vectors. I tried firefly camera input, but i couldn't find out to recognize the pedestrian.
Thank you very much :)

Depending on what you are using the data for, it might not be performant enough to do just using Firefly, but should be possible using the Reactivision Software. It can be used for finger tracking (ie. blob detection) and if you have enough contrast, it will be able to give you positions of the people walking.

It might not be very performant, depending on what you are using the data for, so its best to seperate the "detection logic" from the "use the data to build something" logic. You can just record the data in a first step, then use a data dam to have GH do what you want after, when its not recording.

I havent tried it, but I think thats the way to go.

I would probably start with Firefly, I have played around with it a little bit and their "vector field" and "optical flow"(probably what you need) vectors, seems to be doing quite a good job.

optical flow was used in this video(not made by me) ;https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlLkkom6tWw

Yes I found out :)
But now I couldn't find a way to recognize and distill the lines (vectors) that there is one pedestrian at the centre of the movements...
