Component reference for GH

Hi all! I am a GH newbie (although a professional programmer) and I needed a full searchable and browsable list of GH components (documentation), which I could not find anywhere. So, to help myself and everybody, I built this GH component reference site by extracting the list of GH components a while ago.

The advantage of such a list is you can find a component when you know what you want, and don't know the terminology that GH uses. For example to delete/remove items from a list, in GH the term is "cull". Patterns are known as "arrays". While these may be common to GH experts, it takes a while to figure out, and a full component list helps you learn these quickly.

I wanted feedback about this site, and to start discussion about docs in general. AFAIK, docs are largely missing in GH, save the "search" function available within the GH editor. What do you all think? Would you find such a website useful? Would you like it if such docs were integrated into the GH website itself?

I want to ask if there is a way to add a plugin, by a "normal" user?
And; is there a way to recognize updates on an already listed plugin?

I use a semi-automated process to add plugins into the system, using some scripts written on my PC. These scripts are not web-based, so it cannot be done on a web site. It takes about 5 mins per plugin for me to add it in. If you find a useful plugin missing, just write a note and I will add it in.

However, I'm working on a message board feature. You will be able to add notes into any component to help others.

Updates are a subjective thing; components that are newly added that someone else is aware of, but you are not aware of. Perhaps an RSS feed of plugin updates would suit you better.

Too much white space around the icons. Why are they too tiny?

Good point, but I'm currently display icons at original size. If I make them bigger they will get blurry. I could try it out, though.

I installed it multiple times, but for the life of me I cannot figure out where the new components are. There is no tab called Dodo, there is no category under the Extras tab, where are the Dodo components? Is it integrated into the main categories?

And, DIVA 3.0 and 4.0 beta have different add-ons.

A few users have been asking if there's a way they can improve the documentation...

Announcing a big update; you can now contribute your knowledge using the Wiki section displayed on each component page! Simply login to Github and then edit it using markdown or your favorite formatting scheme. Your changes will be reflected in a few minutes.

For example, take a look at the the Arc page. The tips at the bottom have been added using the Wiki system! Clicking Edit takes you to this page, where you can add/improve the Wiki section. Simply add your changes and press Save. Come back to the Arc page and refresh (F5). Your changes will be reflected in a few minutes.
