There's probably a plugin with this but it will lack full control over direction and grid cropping. A brute force method is to create a unit cell of overlapping single lines and array that in XY then join the lines, optionally cutting them again with each other. The bookkeeping to join the lines may require three separate arrays for the three directions, so they join appropriately instead of in random jig jag fashion.
