algorithmic modeling for Rhino
@it 2.3 V
I keep having this error and not sure why. I have set the path for the shapefile, but it fails to import the information.
1. Solution exception:Could not load file or assembly 'DotSpatial.Data, Version=1.7.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c29dbf30e059ca9d' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
I saved the downloaded files from ArcGIS the following way. Not sure if this could be affecting the import. I'd made sure there's spaces on the path.

Hey thanks for checking this out. I did download the V2.3 =S
What do you mean with unlocked?
THANKS! Got it! =)
Hi! I had the same issue as the original poster but I have made sure @it was unblocked, as well as the file I'm trying to assign, and I'm still getting the same error. I'm running @it_v2.3, from grasshopper, from a 64-bit Rhino 5, that is running as an administrator, that is on Windows 7, running on bootcamp, on a Mac. Sorry just trying to be as thorough as possible...

Shape File
Hi Sebastian,
Shape files are in fact a collection of files
.shp
.shx
.dbf
.prj is also one of the common file but not mandatory. Please check your shape file source and make sure to include all mandatory shape files are in the same path. (or folder)
Let me know if this doesn't help your initial problem.
Thanks
I thought that was the case when I uploaded just the shape file. sorry. I do actually have all the files though, and they're together in a folder. when I assign the file path, I just use the .shp file correct? the others just have to be present, right? If that's the case than I've got that all perfect, so the problem is something else
here's the other files
Sebastian,
When any GH component returns into red or into yellow, there is a little conversation balloon pop-up at the right top hand of it. It always good to read those warnings, it tells actually what went wrong.
In this case, you are missing Stations20062015.dbf file. Please check your resource of raw data (shapefiles).
1. Solution exception:Could not find file 'C:\Users\EErtugrul\Downloads\Stations20062015.dbf'.
if the component is crashed again please read the warning first and and tell the warning so I can diagnose correctly the problem that u encountered.
Hope this helps,
-elcin
How about this error:
1. Solution exception:Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index
?
I believe I unblocked everything properly and all the required files are in the folder, straight out of Arcmap...
thanks
